NIGEL BROWN PEACE WORKSHOPS
Today has been a fun day at the Museum of the Vernacular at Kerr Street with 21 students from Mahurangi Montessori Primary participating in the inaugural Nigel Brown Peace Workshop. Students used text from their own peace poetry and researched how Nigel Brown uses symbolism and colour to create their own Nigel style peace paintings. When the paintings are finished (we didn’t quite
get timeĀ to complete them today) Nigel Brown will sign each of the paintings. Imagine a classroom filled with Nigel Brown originals!
A big thank you to Nigel Brown, Mahurangi Montessori Primary students, teachers and parents. We’re looking forward to seeing the final works!
