The Lost Men of Devonport
The Lost Men of Devonport commemorates those men who left their homes in Devonport to fight during WW1 and who were among the 18,500 New Zealanders lost.
The illustrations by Penny Clark featured throughout this publication correlate to the Devonport Field of Remembrance guide which follows this introduction. Clark has successfully created contemporary visual representations of the addresses where these many soldiers lived.
