The Roaring Silence arrives!

The Roaring Silence has arrived onsite, all 500 copies! It’s looking really beautiful and we’ll be releasing the details of the launch soon. In the meantime, get ready to take a look at this compendium of interviews, poetry, art and prose about suicide. It is a stunning collection of work and ideas that make you realise how we are all affected by suicide, and what we might be able to do about reducing the suffering of those going through tough times. Special thanks go out to everyone involved including all the contributors listed below and the editorial and design collaborators.

The Roaring Silence arrives! In Aotearoa New Zealand, this country, our home, suicide takes many more lives than the road toll. Yet for many years suicide has been shrouded in secrecy, both in our daily lives and in the media. Suicide has been positioned as a dark taboo too dangerous to discuss, or too shameful to admit to. At the same time, the problem of suicide has grown. Suicide crosses all age, gender, cultural divides and affects families, neighbourhoods, friendship groups, communities of interest. With this book we’re hoping to open the dialogue about suicide and demystify it.
